Big fire a good omen for T: Swarupananda
Swami Swarupanandendra Saraswati of Visakha Sarada Peetham has quoted the Sastras to say that the big fire that broke out at the Mahachandiyagam venue at Erravelli in Medak district on Sunday is by no means an inauspicious phenomenon. The Sastras say that all worship materials such as kheer should be sacrificed in the Vedic fire. Which is what has happened. The big fire is indeed Eswara's intervention to say he along with His Consort are happy at the outcome. It is a good omen for Telangana, and an ennobling one at that. God simply acted through the phenomenon. To buttress his point, the Swami said he swears by Sarada Mata that it is a good omen for Telangana. In fact, the Purnahuti (final fire ritual) was already concluded. Rudra Siva and Chandimata have been appeased by the performance of the Yaga by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He did it grandly at that.
