Lack of protection to Ladies Hostels glaring

There is glaring lack of protection to various Ladies Hostels in Hyderabad. Despite repeated attempts by rowdy elements to break in to the hostels, the organisers do not seem to have taken precautionary measures. On Tuesday night, one such rowdy element scaled the boundary wall of a Ladies Hostel at Khairatabad and moved close to the girls' rooms. Owing to his movement, there was some noise which alerted the sleeping girls. When they woke up they saw a man. The girls then raised such a racket that the rowdy took to his heels. This incident is another reminder to the organisers of ladies hostels and the police to take up measures for the safety of the girls who are either studying or working.
