5 meet watery grave after car plunges into Godavari near Yanam
Hyderabad, Dec 12: At least five persons, including two children, met with a watery grave after the car in which they were travelling lost control and plunged into Gautami Godavari river near Dariyalatippa in the Puducherry ruled Yanam constituency. According to police, early this morning, locals saw the car that fell into Gautami Godavari river and immediately alerted the police. With the help of fire service personnel, police pulled out the vehicle from the river and found five dead bodies inside it. The Tata Indica car with a registration No AP 05 V201. Police identified that the bodies belonged to persons hailing from Turangi Driver Colony of Kakinada in East Godavari district. They also identified that the family belongs to Poppidi Venkat Reddy's family. The police suspect that the accident must have taken place around 10 pm on Friday.
