TS awards contracts for 6,000MW projects
Hyderabad, Nov 19: The government of Telangana is said to have awarded contracts for new thermal power projects that will have an installed capacity of 6,000MW and cost Rs 32,000 crore. The projects that are to come up in the state in the next five years are to be funded by the Power Finance Corporation and the Rural Electrification Corporation of India, according to TSGenco and TSTransco chairman and MD D Prabhakar Rao. Rao said the projects are expected to come up at Bhoopalpally, Manuguru, Ramagundam and other locations.
