Rainfall brought water enough for 1 year at Tirumala

Hyderabad, Nov 18: The Tirumala town has recorded a surplus rainfall this year and the town so far registered 1649 mm of rainfall. this is an excess by 285 mm. The town received the highest rainfall of 2056 mm in 1996, 2028 mm in 2005 and 1708 mm in 2007. The North-East monsoon will be active for over 40 days and therefore these figures could swell further. Tirumala has five drinking water projects to meet the needs of the pilgrims and thy are Kumaradhara, Pasupudhara, Papavinasanam, Gogarbham dam and Akasaganga Dam.
