KCR inaugurates 2BR houses at IDH Colony in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 16: Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao today inaugurated 377 double-bedroom flats constructed for people living Below Poverty Line (BPL) at the IDH Colony in Bhoiguda locality of Secunderabad. Thus, he fulfilled his 'Houses for the poor' poll promise made during the elections last year. KCR today handed over the registration documents to the beneficieries during a ceremony. The government had earlier assured that 400 houses will be constructed in each of the 119 Assembly constituencies in the state. However, only 377 houses were finished in IDH Colony in the first phase. The 2BR flats are built on 580 sqft each in an area of 6.1 acres and all the amenities like electricity, water and drainage systems have been provided. Speaking on the occasion, KCR said this only a beginning and his government would do all that is needed to be done for the welfare and development of the poor. Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, Excise Minister T. Padma Rao, Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and others participated.
