Sand satyagrah for special status to AP: Raghuveera Reddy

Hyderabad, Nov 4: Taking inspiration from salt satyagrah initiated by Mahatma Gandhi, Congress party is planning to launch sand stayagrah demanding special status to Andhra Pradesh. Announcing this to media in Delhi, AP Pradesh Congress Committee president Raghuveera Reddy said his party would fight for the special status to the state and fulfilment of assurances made in the AP State Reorganisation Act. Reddy said the details of the sand satyagrah will be worked out during a meeting on November 6. Earlier, Raghuveera Reddy, and other senior Congress leaders including Jayaram Ramesh took the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat in Delhi.
