Purandeswari: BJP gaining strength in AP

Vijayawada, Nov 2: Daggubati Purandeswari, former Union Minister and daughter of TDP founder and former Chief Minister late NT Rama Rao, said that BJP is gradually graining strength in the state. It may be noted that Purandeswari resigned to Congress and joined BJP in 2014. Speaking to the media in Vijayawada today, Purandeswari said that BJP membership in AP reached 23 lakhs. She said that Centre would sanction more funds if the state government submits utilisation certificates. She strongly condemned the mass returns of awards. Purandeswari deplored attack on the party city office. Those who are demanding special status should also examine how the state government is spending the funds, she said.
