Demand spurs Amaravati farmers to cultivate onion
Hyderabad, Oct 28: Braving restrictions, some farmers under the Amaravati capital region have taken up cultivation of onion as there is demand for the product due to scarcity of stocks in the local markets. The farmers hope the state government will permit them to cultivate onion as it needs just three months for harvesting. They are said to have informed the state government that the just sowed onion crop will surly meet the demand in the local market. They also assured the government that as it will be their last crop they will supply the stocks for affordable prices.
