AP to expand roadways to boost industrialisation

Hyderabad, Oct 26: Andhra Pradesh government today took a decision to expand its roadways in order to boost industrialisation along its long coastline. AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took this decision today while interacting through teleconference with top officials of the transport and health departments. During the teleconference, Chandrababu expressed his sadness over the frequent road accidents taking place in the state. The chief minister opined that the accidents were taking place only because of drunken driving. He, therefore, directed the road transport officials to put a cap of 80km speed on vehicles taking the major highways in the state. He then directed the health and sanitation officials to keep the wards and villages clean in the state and ordered them to observe every Friday as a Cleanliness Day.
