Bogus students in government schools

Karimnagar, Oct 20: A section of government teachers have inflated the strength of students in government schools to protect their posts during rationalisation exercise. Students of private schools were also shown as students of government schools. The issue came into light when a private school in Jammikunta town of the district tried to upload its students details on District Information System on Education (DISE) website. When the private school staff tried to upload the data of their students on the website, a message came that the details already exist on the website. Preliminary inquiry revealed that government teachers enrolled the students names in a nearby government school to protect their posts during rationalisation.
