Activists oppose KCR's visit to Amaravati

Vijayawada, Oct 20: The meeting between the Telugu CMs N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao has kicked up a debate on whether KCR should turn up for the Amaravati capital foundation-stone laying ceremony on October 22. United Andhra Pradesh activists feel that it would be better if KCR skips the programme. Activists who spearheaded the struggle against bifurcation of the state, said that KCR whipped up emotions and created a rift between people of the two regions. Chandrababu has invited KCR for the event and its gives credence to the opinion that the former too endorsed division of the state, they said. Youth Congress leader Devineni Avinash alleged that Chandrababu invited KCR to the event to evade from cases related to cash-for-vote scam. He strongly opposed the decision to invite KCR for the event. Meanwhile, former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar termed the meeting between two Telugu CMs as a drama.
