I&PR becomes first dept to shift to Vijayawada

Hyderabad, Oct 7: In line with the Andhra Pradesh government's decision to shift all its departments to Vijayawada-Guntur belt, Information and Public Relations department became the first commissionerate to shift to Vijayawada. AP government is said to have already transferred all I&PR employees. The commissionerate is expected to soon start functioning from Vijayawada, reports said. The I&PR department is said to have already taken an office accommodation in Vijayawada and it is likely to vacate its office from Samkshema Bhavan at Masab Tank in Hyderabad very soon. Reports also said the Excise Commissionerate is likely to start functioning from Guntur by October-end. All the departments are to be shifted to Vijayawada one by one, officials confirmed.
