KCR welcomes HC's comments on farmers' suicides
Hyderabad, Sept 30: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said he welcomes the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad's comments on farmers' suicides.
Speaking on the second day of the discussion on farmers' suicides in the state legislative assembly's monsoon session, Chandrasekhar Rao said, "We welcome the high court's suggestion that the government should go into the root of the reasons behind the farmers' suicides."
KCR then said he expected suggestions for a long-term solution to the farmers' suicides from the members of the legislature. However, he said, no such suggestions came from the members.
Stating that the problem of farmers' suicide was plaguing the entire nation, he said the issue was disturbing even the neighbouring states, where the suicide rate was very high compared to Telangana.
