President forwards letter seeking action on Talasani

Delhi, Sep 28: President Pranab Mukherjee has forwarded the letter, written by TDP MLA Maganti Gopinath seeking action on Commercial Tax Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and other turncoat MLAs, to Union Home Ministry to examine the issues raised by the MLA and to initiate necessary action. In the letter, Maganti said that Talasani was elected on TDP ticket and was unconstitutionally continuing in TRS Cabinet. He urged the President to take appropriate action to restore people's faith in democracy. It may be noted that Hyderabad High Court today dismissed petitions filed seeking disqualification of turncoat MLAs. TDP accused the Assembly Speaker S Madhusudana Chary of deliberately sitting on the disqualification petitions of the MLAs.
