National Geographic to document AP capital
Vijayawada, Sep 16: The Andhra Pradesh government has roped in National Geographic Channel to showcase AP capital Amaravati and to document the construction of the capital right from the conception stage. The documentary will be filmed for three years and it is titled “Amaravati, the future city”. The 44-minute film will showcase the construction and development of the capital city. The documentary may cost about Rs 48 lakh. The documentary will be used to promote the capital to national and international stakeholders. The National Geographic channel claimed a viewership of 60 million per month, covering about 50 million homes in India. The proprietary rights of the document will be with Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA).
