HC postpones hearing in Rs 15 lakh Smita Sabharwal case
Hyderabad, Sept 5: The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad today postponed the hearing of a case filed against the sanctioning of Rs 15 lakh by the Telangana government to Additional Secretary in the CMO Smita Sabharwal to pursue her defamation case against Outlook magazine. The high court postponed the hearing to September 7 and said it would hear the case along with the defamation case as both are related cases. Meanwhile, the high court considered a request from Telangana advocate general K Ramakrishna Reddy and decided to conduct in-camera proceedings of the two cases. K. Eshwar Rao, a city resident, had challenged the sanctioning of Rs 15 lakh to Smita Sabharwal. Orders were issued to this effect by the HC bench comprising in-charge Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice SV Bhatt.
