ANU student suspended for ragging

Guntur, Sep 03: Another ragging incident was reported in Acharya Nagarjuna University here. This is the first ragging incident in the university after the death of B Arch student Rishiteswari. It may be noted that Rishiteswari allegedly committed suicide due to ragging. ANU in-charge Vice-Chancellor and IAS officer Udaya Lakshmi swiftly acted and suspended the accused student for two weeks. According to reports, a degree first year girl student reportedly lodged a complaint in police outpost set up on the university campus. In her complaint, the student said that senior students ragged her. The in-charge VC conducted an inquiry and suspended the student involved in ragging for two weeks.
