Rs 5 lakh crore, 20 years to construct a capital like Hyd: Chandrababu

Hyderabad, Sep 01: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that Rs 5 lakh crore and 20 years time would be required to construct Hyderabad-like capital city in the state. Chandrababu was speaking on the special status issue in Assembly today. Chandrababu opined that law and order in joint capital Hyderabad should not be placed under the control of any state. The CM sought special funds for construction of capital city. He said that YSRCP projected special status and kept silent on implementation of Section-8 of AP Reorganisation Act. Chandrababu said that Centre sanctioned Rs 5,000 crore for Visakhapatnam-Chennai industrial corridor. He asserted that government has the ability to complete Polavaram project within the stipulated time.
