TDP to contest in Andaman civic polls

Hyderabad, Aug 24: The Telugu Desam Party has decided to field the party candidates in the upcoming local body polls in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has convened a meeting with Andaman and Nicobar unit TDP president N Manik Rao yesterday. They reportedly discussed the strategy to be adopted in the polls. As the deadline for filing nominations would end soon, the party handed over A forms and declarations to Manik Rao. It may be noted that that Chandrababu Naidu is planning to expand the party to as many states as possible. TDP is holding talks with BJP to form a poll alliance.
