Land Acquisition: Farmers pin hopes on Pawan

Penumaka (Guntur), Aug 23: The farmers who refused to part with their lands in capital region have now pinned hopes on popular Telugu actor and Jana Sena party founder president Pawan Kalyan. A majority of the farmers and farm labourers exuded confidence that Pawan Kalyan would rein in the government from going ahead with its decision to collect land under Land Acquisition Act. The farmers brought flowers, fruits and vegetables being cultivated in their farm lands to display them at the meeting to be addressed by Pawan today. It may be noted that Pawan already tweeted against invoking Land Acquisition Act on the farmers. YSRCP, Congress, Left parties and other organisations are also opposing land acquisition for capital city.
