New LPG connections through online soon

Hyderabad, August 21: Good news for gas consumers. Now they can get new LPG connections through online. The government is taking steps for this, as a part of 'Digital India', launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. An official of LPG portal explained the online booking. Very soon, websites of all oil companies will provide application forms for fresh LPG connections. Consumers have to fill it up and submit through online only. The computer will decide the dealer who is nearest to the applicant. Within 48 hours, the applicant will get a customer ID number to his/her email or phone. The prescribed amount should be paid through online. Within one week, new LPG gas cylinder, rubber pipe and regulator will come to the doorstep of the applicant. The department is coining a four-digit phone number to respond immediately to cylinder leakage and other related problems. This number is same for all states in the country.
