Inquiry into Narayana students suicide starts
Kadapa, August 20: A three-member committee started its inquiry into the suicides of two girl students of Narayana College in Kadapa. Manisha Reddy and Nandini, studying Intermediate first year in Narayana Junior college in Kadapa committed suicide by hanging themselves on August 17 evening. Kadapa Superintendent of Police Navin Gulati said that the girls appeared to take the extreme step as they couldn't cope up with the pressure of studies. According to him, a suicide note was found near the body of Nandini which stated that she was unable to bear the pressure of studies and long hours. Her father identified his daughter's handwriting. While the cause behind the suicide of the second girl, Manisha is not known. Gulati said they found a paper on which "I love you Mani" was written in blood. Parents of both the girls denying that pressure of studies was the cause for their suicide. Further they are questioning why the management had kept the death matter secret for about three hours.
