68 Indians detained for illegally crossing into US

Hyderabad, August 16: About 68 Indians were arrested in America for allegedly crossing into the country illegally. The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) department officials informed that these were detained near Siatel area in Washington. They were in custody at ICE contract detention center in Tacoma. At least 68 persons were taken into custody in this year for sneaking into the United States from across the border, half of them were arrested last month. All those who entered America without proper documents were arrested. Most of them hailed from Punjab. ICS senior official said it may take months before the undocumented immigrants, kept in government-run detention centers in US, find out if they will be deported or allowed to stay in the country.
