More funds than those entitled under special status: Haribabu

Guntur, Aug 10: BJP State president and Visakhapatnam MP Kambhampati Hari Babu has said that Centre government was drafting a plan to provide twice the fund amount than that entitled under special status to AP. Speaking to the reporters here today, Hari Babu reminded that Centre has sanctioned Rs 1,000 crore capital even before the preparation of construction plan. He said that Congress was resorting to politics on Polavaram issue . He asked the Congress leaders to explain what they had done for the project during their tenure. Hari Babu claimed that Centre was implementing provisions which were not listed in the AP State Reorganisaton Act. He asserted that AP was committed to the development of the State. He asked the people not to worry about special status. He urged opposition parties not to mislead people on the issue.
