AP should be given spl status: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi/Hyderabad, August 10: AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi criciticised the Central government for denying Andhra Pradesh State of its rights. Speaking to the media at Delhi on Monday, he said the UPA government promised to accord special status to AP State and it is its responsibility to fulfil the promise. He expressed grief over the self-immolation of party activist Muni Koti in Tirupati seeking special status to AP. Rahul Gandhi said this is the right time for giving the special status to AP. Congress will continue its fight till the AP gets the special status category, he added.
