Fast track court to try Rishiteswari case

Hyderabad, Aug 10: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to set up a fast track court for speedy disposal of ANU B Arch student Rishiteswari's suicidal death case. The decision was taken as per the recommendations of a four-member committee headed by retired IAS Officer Balasubramaniam. A special prosecutor will be appointed to ensure speedy justice to Rishiteswari's family. HRD Minister G Srinivasa Rao had briefed the media on the report yesterday. Quoting the report, the Minister said that ragging of Rishiteswari had crossed the limits of morality, decency and humanity. The government was serious on the case as it wants to send out a strong message that ragging will not be tolerated. Ganta said that a toll-free helpline 18004255314 would be set up to help the students.
