2.4 lakh attempts to access porn in UK Parliament

London, July 28: A Freedom of Information (FOI) Act reply, an act similar to RTI in India, has revealed that 2,47,000 attempts were made to access pornography websites on United Kingdom's Parliament network last year. On an average 1,300 attempts were made on each day to attempt pornography on the network in the months of April and October. In 2013, 3,50,000 attempts were made to access obscene content on the network. The attempts were reportedly made by the MPs and the Parliament staff. There was an uproar in England over the conduct of Parliamentarians after Lord Sewel quit House of Lords for allegedly taking drugs along with prostitutes.
