High alert in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, July 27: High alert was declared in Hyderabad in the wake of terrorists attack in Gurudaspur of Punjab today. Security was beefed up in airport, railway stations, bus stations, VIPs residences, offices and other prime locations. Vigilance increased in twin cities. Four police officers and three civilians were killed in an attack in Punjab early on Monday morning. Suspected terrorists fired indiscriminately at Gurdaspur police station. They also fired at people near Dinanagar bus stand. The gun battle between the terrorists, hiding inside a police station, and security forces is still going on. Meanwhile, five bombs were found on the Amritsar-Pathankot railway track.
