Fenching champion dies after cops throw him out of train

New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 24: National Fencing champion Hoshiar Singh died after the railway police allegedly threw him out of the running train on Thursday. But the police are claiming that Hoshiar Singh got down to drink water and while trying to get into the train, he fell down and died. According to Hoshiar's family members, Hoshiar of Uttar Pradesh, along with his mother and wife went to Mathura and was returning to his native village Kasganj. He arranged seats for his mother and wife in the ladies compartment and he sat in a general compartment. As his wife was unwell, he went to the ladies compartment to check her health. The RTF police demanded Rs 200 as bribe to let him stay in the coach. When Hoshiar refused to give the amount, the police pushed him killing Hoshiar. The family of the fencing champion is demanding the filing of a murder case against the RTF police. Hoshiar Singh won bronze medal in an under-17 championship in 2005.
