Complete holy dip in 3 minutes
Rajahmundry/Hyderabad, July 23: With only two days left for the conclusion of Godavari Pushkaralu, devotees' rush was multiplied at all the bathing ghats in both the Telugu states. The officials said on an average about 70,000 devotees were taking holy dip per hour. Meanwhile, the officials were worried about the spread of E.coli bacteria in Godavari water. The officials of Pollution Control Board were alarmed at the rapid increase of E-coli bacteria in almost all the ghats in the two states. The increase in the count of e-coli bacteria indicates the high level of human and animal feces in the water. According to the doctors, e-coli bacteria normally lives in the intestines of human beings and animals. Most of these bacteria is harmless and in fact an important part of a healthy human intestinal tact. But some e-coli causes diseases and skin infections. With this the doctors are suggesting the devotees to complete their bath in three minutes only.
