Left parties to go ahead with today's Telangana bandh
Hyderabad, July 17: The Left parties were firm on going ahead with Telangana bandh today in support of the municipal workers' demands. Leaders of 10 Left parties and seven municipal workers unions JAC took several key resolutions at a meeting held on Thursday night. The leaders criticised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his decision of increasing salaries of only 24,000 workers when about 40,000 workers have been on a state-wide strike. Stating that there was no clarity in the strike notice, they decided to continue with the strike and to organise the bandh. They also found fault with KCR, who said that workers who were absent for their duties would be removed. They warned that they will not keep quiet if the workers are removed from their jobs.
