ACB grills NIMS chief
Hyderabad, July 15: The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials reportedly grilled Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) Director Dr Narendranath in connection with a case in which a senior faculty member demanded bribe from a PG medicine student. According to sources, officials questioned Narendranath for four hours at his office in the institute and seized some documents and a computer hard disk. Earlier, ACB registered a case against Dr R V Kumar, Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery Department, for accepting a bribe of Rs 2.2 lakh from a student for doing an official favour. NIMS has 27 medical specialties and serves lakhs of patients every year.
