Hyderabad boy gives his heart to Pakistani kid
Hyderabad, July 15: A 12-year-old boy Vaishnav, from Hyderabad, will continue to live in other people's lives after his death. His vital organs will give new lease of life to others. Declared as brain dead, the boy’s heart was airlifted from Hyderabad to Chennai and transplanted successfully into a 10-year-old Pakistani kid. The Pakistani kid suffering with life threatening heart ailment was admitted at Frontier Lifeline Hospital in Chennai a month ago. As there is a need for urgent transplantation to save the kid, the doctors decided to retrieve Vaishnav’s heart. The heart was transported from Global Hospitals to Shamshabad airport within 30 minutes and it took 20 minutes to transport it from Chennai airport to Frontier lifeline hospital. Finally the heart transplantation was successfully performed and the Pakistani kid is recovering well.
