Collector in soup for wearing wife's uniform
Ernakulum (Kerala): District Collector MG Rajamanikyam’s desire to wear police uniform has landed him in trouble. The Collector’s wife Nishantini is an IPS officer. Rajamanikyan not only wore his wife’s police uniform but also took a picture and posted it on social networking website. The photo was published in several newspapers and a person also complained to the state government stating that the Collector misused police dress. Kerala Home Secretary ordered an inquiry into the incident and issued caution notice to the Collector for violating Kerala Police Act.
