TS govt ok to Indian rivers inter-link
Hyderabad, July 13: The Telangana government was not against the Centre's move to inter-linking all the rivers in the country, clarified Telangana State government Adviser (Irrigation) Vidyasagar Rao. At the same time, he stated that there is no question of losing their rights over river water. A discussion over inter-linking of rivers was held here on Monday. Vidyasagar Rao, on behalf of Telangana government participated in the meeting held by Union Water Resources Ministry. Vidyasagar Rao also said that there is no loss to Andhra Pradesh government with the Palamuru project taken up by its counterpart. There is no need for that government to make a ruckus on this, he added. Vidyasagar Rao suggested the Chief Ministers of both the governments to discuss on the construction of projects.
