Second summer in Telangana

Hyderabad, July 6: The State appears to be facing a second summer. Instead of showers and rains that is normal in July month, high temperatures were being recorded. People, who expected relief from hot summer, were seen suffering with scorching heat. Three to six degrees above normal temperatures were recorded in the State. Instead of normal 31 degree celcius, 37 degrees was recorded in Hyderabad city during the last 24 hours. In Mahbubnagar 38 degrees instead of 32; Medak 36 instead of 31; Hanamkonda 37 instead of 32; and 4 degree more than normal temperatures were recorded in Khammam, Nalgonda and Nizamabad. The Hyderabad Metereological Department said that 100 % deficit rainfall was recorded during the last two days. According to Met officials, the conditions will not change till low pressure or depression forms in the Bay of Bengal.
