Mayor marries crocodile
Hyderabad, July 3: In the midst of thousands of guests and beautifully decorated church, a mayor married the bride, wearing a white gown. One may think what's so special about this. This is special. Because the bride is not a human being. But a small crocodile. San Pedro Huamelula is a small town in Mexico. Its mayor, Joel Vasquez Rojas married the reptile, dressed in traditional white gown at a grand ceremony. He threw a big party also. Even a naming ceremony was performed before this. The bride was named as Maria Isabel. This is a age-old tradition being followed in San Pedro Huamelula town. The locals believe that if the town head marries a crocodile, then the seafood will multiply. Rojas has been marrying a crocodile every year since he became the mayor. His wife accompanies and assists in the marraige rituals. All these crocodile brides will be taken care of later.
