Over 500 injured in Taiwan fire accident

Taiwan/Hyderabad, June 28: More than 500 people were injured, 200 seriously, in a fire accident at an amusement park, outside Taipei, Taiwan's capital. The injured were under treatment in various hospitals Taipei and other cities. The condition of about eight people was said to be critical. The huge colour party has been arranged at Formosa Fun Coast on Saturday night. The Fire reportedly spread through the crowd when a coloured powder ignited after sprayed on the people. Officials quickly managed to control the fire but before that hundreds of people were injured. Officials said that this was first worst accident of mass injury in the history of New Taipei. The government immediately closed the water park and ordered a probe into the incident.
