Stephenson seeks new HC judge to hear his case

Hyderabad, June 24: The nominated MLA of TRS, Elvis Stephenson, is said to have moved the Hyderabad High Court and urged Justice Siva Shankar Rao to recuse himself from hearing the quash petition filed by Jerusalem Mathaiah, according to reports. Mathaiah is the fourth accused in the cash-for-vote case and Stephenson happens to be the complainant in the case. According to sources in the High Court, the quash petition of Mathaiah is expected to come up for hearing today. Even th bail petition of the jailed TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy and others is likely to come up for hearing today in the high court. Fearing that his petition could be quashed, Stephenson is said to have moved the criminal miscellaneous application before Justice Siva Shankar Rao. Given the sequence of developments with regards to the hearing in the quash petition of the absconding accused Mathaiah on June 18, Stephenson urged the judge to recuse from the case. Stephenson feared that the developments appeared to be pre-determined and redisposed.
