TRS MLA Stephenson records statement before magistrate

Hyderabad, June 17: TRS nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson, the complainant in Cash-for-Vote scam, recorded his statement before the Third Metropolitan Magistrate, Nampally, as per Section 164 of Criminal Procedure Code (Cr pc). Unprecedented security arrangements were made by the police at the court in view of sensitive nature of the case. Sources said that Stephenson’s statement was recorded for a duration of 1 hour 40 minutes. MLA Stephenson’s daughter Jessica and the flat owner Malcom Taylor statements were also recorded for 10 and 26 minutes respectively.
