Anantapur, June 15: None can excel in politics without money power and from Sarpanch to Prime Minister nobody can win polls without spending money, said MP JC Diwakar Reddy. JC is known for his straight talk and his comments assumed significance in the wake of TDP MLA Revanth Reddy’s arrest in the cash for vote scandal. Speaking to the reporters at Anantapur, JC opined that the benefits of welfare schemes implemented by the government are not reaching the people. He commented that government is not giving priority for addressing the problems of farmers. Employment Guarantee programme (MGNREGA) is benefitting field assistants rather than labourers and other welfare schemes are no different, he added.
