Film with Telangana backdrop under Sukumar’s production

in recent times, Telugu cinema has been witnessing a growing number of films based on Telangana backdrops. Stories rooted in Telangana soil, culture, and traditions are being portrayed with emotional narratives, attracting audiences. The success of Balagam is a notable example, as it resonated strongly with viewers across villages in Telangana.

Following the success of such films, filmmakers and producers are showing increased interest in developing stories set in Telangana. A new film based on a Telangana backdrop is now set to go on floors soon.

Director Sukumar, who has been producing films under his banner Sukumar Writings, is already associated as a production partner in projects like Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma and Ram Charan’s Peddi. Now, Sukumar, along with producer Bunny Vasu, is planning to jointly produce another film.

The film will feature Balagam fame Priyadarshi as the lead actor and is said to be based on a Telangana-themed story. A new director will be introduced through this project. More details about the film are expected to be announced officially soon.

Sukumar, known for directing pan-India films with star actors, is also producing small films with meaningful stories, which is being appreciated.
