Chandrababu urges banks to liberally provide loans to farmers
Hyderabad, May 30: Telugu Desam Party Central Committee chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has today made an interesting appeal to the bankers.
Chandrababu is believed to have urged all the banks in Andhra Pradesh to liberally extend loans to farmers of the state.
This is an interesting development as last year TDP ministers and state plan body vice chairman Kutumba Rao had lashed out at banks for not following norms while sanctioning farm loans in the state.
They had stated that bankers had not followed the scale of finance provisions while extending farm loans in AP.
Now with the paddy season fast approaching and growing resentment among farmers regarding farm loan waiver policies of AP government, Chandrababu's statement is likely to spur fresh debates in the state.
