Final call on special status to AP soon: Rajnath

New Delhi , May 29, 2015: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said here today that the Centre will soon take a final call on the issue of granting special status to Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a press meet , Rajanath said that the Home Secretary is in touch with the chief secretaries of the two states over the problems they are facing. "Both states have some problems and we are trying to solve them one by one, " he said, adding that the Centre has identified the problems of AP. The Centre has yet to identify some more problems of AP, he disclosed. "Discussions are on with the chief secretaries of the two states and we will take a final decision soon on according special status to the state of Andhra Pradesh."
