Subbirami Reddy to undertake day long Deeksha for special status

Visakhapatnam, May 25, 2015: Congress MP T. Subbirami Reddy has announced that he will undertake a day long Deeksha at Rajahmundry on June 6 seeking special status for Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Subbirami Reddy said Congress activists will hold protest demonstrations at Visakha on June 3, at Viziayanagaram on June 4 and at Srikakulam on June 5 seeking special status to the state. Asserting Congress will not sleep till special status is achieved for AP , Subbirami Reddy demanded that NIMS at Visakhapatnam should be converted as AIIMS and High Court be established at Visakha. Congress leader Dronamraju Srinivas, who also spoke, charged the Chandrababu Naidu Government in AP and Modi Government at the Centre with total failure in keeping their promises to the people. "The state Government has miserably failed to grant new railway division to the state," he remarked.
