"You Gave Me This Life": Secretariat Officer’s Emotional Tribute Moves CM Chandrababu
Amaravati: In a heartwarming interaction that has resonated within administrative circles, a Section Officer at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, crediting the leader for his career and personal stability.

The emotional exchange occurred when the newly elected executive body of the Secretariat Employees Association met the Chief Minister. Accompanying the delegation was A. Shankar Rao, a Section Officer approaching retirement, who fulfilled a long-standing wish to meet the CM personally with the help of Association President Ramakrishna.

Shankarrao, overcome with emotion, told the Chief Minister, "This is the life you gave me. I will remain indebted to you forever." He recalled that he secured his job as a typist through a notification issued in 1996 during Naidu’s first tenure, a move that pulled him out of unemployment and despair.

The officer further detailed how the Chief Minister’s policies supported him throughout his career. He noted that he received a house plot during the united Andhra Pradesh era and later constructed his home in Hyderabad using the House Building Allowance (HBA) provided during the 2014–2019 TDP government. "My job, my plot, and my home—all are because of you," Shankar Rao stated.

Visibly moved by the employee’s account, Chandrababu Naidu placed a hand on Shankar Rao’s shoulder and asked warmly, "You are happy, aren't you?" The Chief Minister inquired about his family and, upon learning of the officer's impending retirement, assured him that he could reach out for any assistance even after leaving service.
