Owners threaten to close petrol bunks
Hyderabad, March 23: Demanding the withdrawal of VAT on petrol sales, owners of petrol bunk in Andhra Pradesh threaten to go on a strike and close down the bunks across the state. Members of the AP Petrol Bunk Owners Association claimed that sale of petrol and diesel fell drastically in the state following the imposition of Rs 4 VAT on the sale of fuel. Owners of commercial and private vehicles were purchasing fuel from petrol bunks in Karnataka and Maharashtra causing heavy loss to the revenues in Andhra Pradesh.
