Jaya to take oath as CM on May 23
Chennai , May 20, 2015: It is now official. AIADMK head quarters on Wednesday officially announced that Chief Minister Panneer Selvam would quit his post on May 22. The AIADMK legislators will then elect party general secretary 'Amma' as the legislature party leader. She will take oath as the new Chief Minister the very next day, May 23. It may be recalled that the former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was acquitted of all the charges by the Karnataka High Court in the disproportionate assets case filed by senior BJP leader Dr. Subramanyan Swamy. Amma waited all these days for an auspicious Muhurtam to take oath as Chief Minister again.
