Jairam Ramesh accuses Modi of cheating AP people

Delhi, May 20, 2015: Lunching a scathing attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leadership, Congress senior leader Jairam Ramesh faulted the Centre for its failure in implementing the promises made to Andhra Pradesh at the time of bifurcation. Addressing a press conference here today, Jairam Ramesh observed that the inaction of the BJP-led NDA Government on its promise on according special status to AP amounts to cheating the Andhra Pradesh people. He accused Modi of running a one-man show at the Centre and asked Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu why he was silent on the silence of the Centre towards granting special status for AP. "Keep the promise given to AP people by according special status to AP," he told the Prime Minister. Jairam Ramesh has also accused Narendra Modi of bypassing Parliament and ruling the country through ordinances. "It is an Ordinance Raj. There is no room for consultation over issues, " he said.
